Born and raised in Japan, Mika started working in architect and interior design fields in Tokyo. After moving to the U.S. at the age of 28, Mika studied at Chemeketa Community College, then transferred to Oregon State University to complete her Bachelor in Fine Arts. Mika later returned to school to receive a Master of Arts in Teaching at Willamette University. Mika worked as an elementary school teacher in Salem, Eugene, and Stayton for 8 years. Her interest in art, design, and architecture eventually drove her to choose a different career path of becoming a real estate broker.
Mika understands the numerous benefits of life in the Willamette Valley with four seasoned weather, culture, and ever changing diversity.
Mika lives with her husband and four cats, with two boys off at college. A very active and connected community volunteer with local schools and businesses, Mika enjoys gardening, cooking, and playing tennis. Mika’s newest interest is Pickleball and she is challenging herself in competing in local tournaments. Mika’s contacts and lifelong area residency holds her energy and enthusiasm, enhancing her job dedication and insuring satisfied clients.
